Bring the beauty and science of light into your homeschool with this rich, open-and go, family-style Wonder Study designed for students grades K–6. Through picture books, hands-on experiments, art, history, and meaningful conversations, your children will explore how light shapes both our physical world and our understanding of it.

This flexible study makes it simple to learn together as a family while still offering leveled options so older students can go deeper and younger learners can participate fully alongside them.

Over the course of this study, your family will investigate the properties of light, discover how rainbows form, explore lenses and color, and learn about the life and inventions of Thomas Edison. Along the way, students strengthen language arts skills through vocabulary study, copywork, dictation, sentence combining, and single-paragraph outlines—all connected naturally to what they are learning.

Because Wonder Studies are designed for shared learning, most lessons can be completed together during Morning Time or anytime in your homeschool day, making them ideal for multi-age families.
